As introverts, pushing ourselves outside our comfort zones can be challenging. Things like networking and public speaking sound awful, even though doing them can seriously benefit our businesses.

My guest today pushes herself to do things that make her nervous because she knows it will bring her a huge sense of accomplishment in her business and as a person. Not to mention the boost to her confidence when she discovers new skills. Ya’ll, this is something I struggle with but am committed to getting better at.

In today’s episode, I’m talking about saying yes to nervousness with my friend, interior designer and reality star, Britany Simon. Being on TV sounds like the last thing an introvert would want, but Britany shares why she continues to push herself to do things that make her nervous. She shares all the amazing benefits that happen when you embrace discomfort and surprise yourself with abilities you didn’t know you had.

What You’ll Learn from this Episode:

  • Why Britany says yes (and no) to TV gigs despite being an introvert.
  • Why it’s always important to have plans B, C, and D.
  • The problem with having too much freedom.
  • How learning things outside your wheelhouse benefits your business.
  • The importance of pushing yourself to network as a designer.
