When creative introverts start their own business, there is a lot of pressure to conform to the extrovert mold. After all, the world is set up for extroverts to succeed. But if we introverts take that route, we’ll be on the path to burnout in no time.

My guest today is a perfect example of not conforming to the extrovert mold and still becoming successful. Victoria Larson is a textile designer celebrating 10 years in business. She has a collection of gorgeous wallpapers and fabrics with Stout Textiles and believes that being yourself is what attracts your people.

In today’s show, Victoria and I talk about what it’s like starting a creative business as an introvert and why sticking to your guns, your authentic self, will pay off in the end. Victoria shares why she switched careers to go into design, how she unknowingly stacked the cards against herself, and her journey to landing an amazing collaboration project with Stout. Aside from enjoying her immensely soothing voice, I know my fellow introverts will be inspired by Victoria’s story.

What You’ll Learn from this Episode:

  • Why Victoria decided to switch careers and go to design school.
